Robe robe robe...how long ago did you offer me your soul for arcane prowess?? Anyways, you can use your cantrips no charge but to use one of my spells it will cost you something capeesh?

I've trapped you in my infinite dungeon with some of your soon to be best friends. How long can you last? How deep can you delve?

Robe is a roguelike where you play as a procedurally generated wizard, in a procedurally generated dungeon, with procedurally generated enemies, in a procedurally generated world, in your computer chair, with procedurally generated thoughts...Made for the 7DRL Challenge 2023

Elenyè the Virgin was the most cracked spellcaster I've ever personally witnessed in a game - RIP champion. Hjoly cow this game is hard!!! Maybe I just had some really bad rolls, not sure, but in a sea of Roguelite this felt like a roguelike.

Another banger track on this one! Felt like I was playing Pokémon Red Dungeon Crawler at points and that was hype af.

I was really sad that my graveyard didn't work because I wanted a screenshot of my legendary dude but alas!

The name generation concatenating the "the" part of the name on the enemies turned out to be pretty hilarious taken at face value so I think it's a feature not a bug ;)

Can't wait to see what's next!

Thanks (again) so much for playing!

The jam was pretty serious about procedural generation so I randomly generated pretty much everything for every run (including enemy stats)! Some playthroughs are insanely hard and some are way too easy! Huge balance issue in my opinion!

The graveyard is was such a bummer! I spent forever ironing bugs out on it before I realized the implementation wouldn’t work on the Web version of the game! I’ll have to (hopefully) come back to it later to fix! I am not entirely sure the graveyard works in the download anymore…

Again thanks for playing my buggy jam mess :)

Gameplay video of your game.

Thanks a bunch for playing and for the great feedback!

There were a few bugs I hadn't found in playtesting the game that you uncovered! There are quality of life improvements I wish I had the time to make but I ended up spending a good chunk of time debugging a few game state change issues going from the running around to the turn based combat.

Have an awesome day!

Nice pixelart! I really like it! The enemys are really easy to kill though! You might want to make them a bit more challenging!

Hey, thanks so much for giving it a try and for the awesome feedback!

I had trouble getting the procedurally generated player character and enemy stats to be perfect for every run so some runs feel way to easy and some too hard! I think it would benefit the game to tighten up the bounds so there's some variability but there's a relatively consistent difficulty level.

Thanks again for the feedback\

You are welcome my friend, we love to support other indie devs like ourselves.. if u wouldnt mind checking our game out that would be amazing.. and perhaps a little feedback.. u certainly sound like u know the hardship and ins and outs of balancing a game.. we too are having similar troubles.. I hope we can keep in contact in the future.. either way, good luck with the game and looking forward to future versions.
